FP Markets
Australian multi-asset broker with 10,000+ CFDs and raw spreads from 0.0 pips across MT4, MT5, cTrader and IRESS.
Choosing a broker starts with forex broker reviews that hold up to scrutiny, not marketing copy dressed up as analysis. This page breaks down regulation, trading costs, platforms and account types for every broker we cover, with a link through to the full review for each one.
We check licensing against official regulator registers, verify spreads and minimum deposits against a broker’s own documentation, and update a review whenever something material changes rather than on a fixed schedule.
Below, you’ll find our forex broker reviews 2026 directory, a side-by-side comparison table, and our full review methodology. No entry here claims a broker is risk-free or the right fit for every trader. Conditions and protections vary by broker, and by where you live.
Not every piece of information carries the same weight. We label each fact by its source, so you know where it came from:

Every review on this page follows the same process, whether the broker is a $5-minimum newcomer or a listed institution with decades of history. We start with the regulator’s own register, not the broker’s marketing page, test platforms directly rather than take a spec sheet at face value, and return to update a review whenever something in that broker’s offer changes materially.

Regulation and Safety
We check licensing, legal entity and jurisdiction against the regulator's public register, confirm fund segregation and negative balance protection, and note investor-compensation schemes where they apply. Forex broker regulation varies by entity. A broker's ASIC arm and its Seychelles arm can offer very different protections under the same brand. Regulation can provide oversight and certain customer protections, though protections differ between jurisdictions and don't eliminate trading or counterparty risk.

Spreads, Commissions and Trading Costs
We look at advertised spreads, typical spreads where a broker discloses them, commissions, swap charges, inactivity fees, currency-conversion fees, and deposit and withdrawal charges. Forex broker spreads and commissions get quoted differently across the industry, and that's where comparisons go wrong. "Spreads from 0.0 pips" describes a best-case tick on a raw account. "Typical spread" describes what most trades actually fill at.

Trading Platforms and Tools
We review MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader, TradingView integration, proprietary platforms, charting tools, order types and automated-trading support where a broker offers it. Forex trading platforms differ more than most comparison tables suggest. A broker running MT4 only won't suit a trader who wants Level II pricing or native TradingView charts.

Markets and Instruments
We check access to forex, indices, commodities, shares, ETFs, cryptocurrency CFDs and futures. We also draw a clear line between CFD exposure and owning the underlying asset: a share CFD tracks a stock's price, but it doesn't hand you the stock, the dividend rights, or a shareholder vote.

Account Types
We evaluate standard accounts, raw or commission-based accounts, professional accounts, Islamic or swap-free accounts, demo accounts and any account-specific pricing. Forex broker account types matter more than headline spreads. A raw account with a flat commission can cost less than a "no-commission" standard account with a wider spread.

Deposits and Withdrawals
We review minimum deposit, funding methods, broker-stated processing times, fees, currency options and restrictions. We don't promise a withdrawal speed unless we've confirmed it independently.

Customer Support
We check live chat, email and phone support, stated hours, languages and regional availability. A broker with 24/7 support in one region can run business-hours-only support elsewhere.

Research and Education
We look at market analysis, economic calendars, trading signals, webinars and the depth of beginner and advanced research content.
Every rating on this page comes from the same eight-category framework, weighted the way we think actually matters to a trader’s outcome. Regulation carries the heaviest weight, because it’s the one category where getting it wrong can cost more than a few pips of spread.

A 5/5 doesn’t mean a broker is completely safe, and a 3.5 doesn’t mean a broker is unsafe to use.
The score measures a broker against this methodology. It doesn’t guarantee a trading outcome or confirm a broker suits your situation.
Brokers are scored from 1.0 to 5.0 based on the total weighted score across all eight categories.
Strong performance across most evaluated categories.
A capable offering with some limitations.
Competitive in selected areas but with more noticeable limitations.
More significant limitations identified under our methodology.

Regulation and Legal Entity
Identify the exact entity your account would open under, not just the parent brand. Two entities under the same logo can sit in different jurisdictions with different protections. See our Forex Broker Regulation Guide.

Total Trading Costs
Compare spread plus commission plus overnight charges plus any other fees, not just the headline spread. See Low Spread Forex Brokers.

Trading Platform
Platform availability shapes what you can actually do: automated strategies need MT4 or MT5, and chart-first traders may prefer TradingView. See Best Forex Trading Platforms.

Account Requirements
Minimum deposit, account types, base currencies and any professional-qualification requirements affect which broker fits your situation, not just your budget.

Deposits and Withdrawals
Check available payment methods, processing policies, fees and regional restrictions before you fund an account, not after your first withdrawal request.

Available Markets
Brokers differ widely in how many forex pairs, indices, commodities and shares they offer. A broker built for major pairs may fall short if you also want shares or crypto CFDs.
Forex broker regulation means a broker operates under a financial authority’s oversight: capital requirements, client-money rules, and a route to complain if something goes wrong. It doesn’t mean the same thing everywhere. The exact legal entity you sign up with determines which rulebook applies, not the country the broker’s website markets to.
Multi-brand brokers often run separate legal entities in different jurisdictions. The same brand can offer an ASIC-regulated account with 1:30 leverage in Australia and an offshore entity with far higher leverage and thinner protection elsewhere. Regulation lowers certain risks, but it doesn’t remove trading risk or guarantee a broker won’t make execution mistakes. See Regulated Forex Brokers for a verified shortlist, and Forex Scam Brokers for warning signs we’ve flagged in unregulated operators.

Forex Brokers for Beginners
Low minimum deposits and strong educational content matter more here than raw pricing.

Low-Spread Forex Brokers
For traders who prioritise cost above all else, raw and ECN accounts usually win on total cost.

ECN Forex Brokers
True ECN execution routes orders directly to liquidity providers instead of a dealing desk.

High-Leverage Forex Brokers
Offshore entities often advertise leverage up to 1:2000. Higher leverage magnifies gains and losses alike, and it isn't available to retail clients in most tier-1 jurisdictions.

Swap-Free Forex Brokers
Islamic accounts remove overnight interest charges, usually replaced with a flat fee past a set number of days.

Forex Brokers by Country
Availability, leverage caps and account protections all shift by country.

MetaTrader 4 Brokers
till the most widely supported platform for expert advisors and automated strategies.

MetaTrader 5 Brokers
Adds more order types and a built-in economic calendar over MT4.

cTrader Brokers
Built for ECN execution, with Level II pricing and cTrader Automate for algo traders.

TradingView Brokers
A growing number of brokers now route orders directly from TradingView's charting interface.
Broker conditions can change between our reviews.
Readers should confirm current terms, fees and account availability directly with the broker before opening an account.

Risk Disclosure
Forex and CFD trading involves significant risk. Leveraged products can amplify losses, and trading conditions, investor protections and product availability may vary by jurisdiction.
